It would seem that David Cameron's all new and improved compassionate Tory party hasn't changed that much since the John Redwood Years.

So Wales is once again at the top of the Tories agenda then!?!
The Conservative spokesperson on Wales in the House of Lords stated...
"As far as the politics of Wales is concerned, as of 48 hours ago I knew absolutely nothing. I now know nothing, plus a bit. I know nothing about the politics but I know quite a lot about the geography, having climbed most of the mountains."
So Wales is once again at the top of the Tories agenda then!?!

I can't imagine that the best person to represent Wales is someone who has no conection to the country and openly admits his ignorance to the politics here. Surely the Tory party could have found a more capable and relivent candidate. Or is it that they just couldnt be bothered to look!
They probably choose representatives with a tombola
Or perhaps with a raffle
This typifies the burgeoisie's attitude to Wales and anything unEnglish and "foreign". It is a 19th Century concept.D.H. Lawrence wrote : "How beastly the bourgeoir is,
Especially the male of the species..."
I'm not sure whether this particular Lord is bourgeois. I would say more a member of the archaic set belonging to the dialectic prior to the industrial age. Nah i don't know; we have bourgeois here in Wales who know plenty about Wales. I would say its more of a london - centric attitude towards anywhere outside the Westminster Village.
However an attitude that should worry many people who are content with letting Westminster run Wales at arm's length.
Better forget the Tories as far as Wales is concerned.
